It's not sweat, it's LIQUID AWESOME

I don't care what anyone else says - Disneyland really IS a world of magic. This weekend was the Tinkerbell Half-Marathon in Anaheim, and I've been excited for this one for a while. I haven't been to Disneyland in about five or six years, and this time, I got to RUN through it as well. In addition to racing fun, this was also Jolie's first trip to Disneyland, and though she was a bit young for it, she still had a blast.

Educate yourself

Yup!

OCC/KVD

I was going to make some sort of joke like, "You down with OCC / Yeah you know me!" but I decided that would be stupid. Yeah. So, I've heard a lot about Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics for a while, especially their lip tars. When I finally ordered one, it came with a free sample of their loose pigment in Rime. (This was a separate beauty site, not their brand site, because the lip tar shade I wanted had been discontinued.) Rime is a beautiful ice blue with gold-y flecks in the container , but on me (probably because of the other shadows I chose) it looks gray. - UDPP Greed - OCC Rime all over the lid - Kat Von D Glock topped with First Class in the crease (from the Metal Orchestra palette) - UD eye pencil in Perversion along the upper lash line - UD eye pencil in Uzi along the lower lash line - Hourglass Film Noir mascara

Poetica part 2

Today I tried out the other half of Kat Von D's Poetica palette, the purples. And boy was I NOT disappointed! I do have quite an affinity for purples, so whenever I find purple shades that I like, I'm really happy :) - UDPP Greed - All over lid: Skiba - Inner corner: Babe - Crease: Wonderland - Browbone highlight: You Alone - Puro Amor Black Autograph Pencil Eyeliner (included with palette) along the upper lash line - Wonderland shadow along the lower lash line - Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Extra Black mascara I LOVE Skiba and Babe! Skiba has beautiful gold flecks in it (which is why I chose to use UDPP Greed - to bring out the gold), and Babe looks like UD's Asphyxia, but more vibrant.

Crossfit total - January 2012

My max weight for: back squats/shoulder presses/deadlifts. Then added together. This is the first time I've done any of those, so I spent a lot of the time learning how to do the moves. I think I could've gone heavier. Next time: 400!!!!

Poetica part 1

My in-laws, knowing me quite well, gave me a Sephora gift card for Christmas, so one of the items I bought with that gift card was Kat Von D's Poetica palette: I decided to use the left four shades in the palette, the oranges. It's kind of an intense, smoky look: - UDPP Original - Chandler all over the lid - Tijuana in lightly on the outer third, heavily in the crease, and wrapped around the outer corner to the lower lash line - Sand Timer to blend out the crease - Forgiveness as a highlight on the browbone - Puro Amor Black Autograph Eyeliner (included in the palette) along the upper lash line and the lower lash line - Hourglass Film Noir mascara (my SIL also gave me Sephora's latest Lash Stash =P) The palette came with a tiny sample of KVD's High Voltage Eye Primer, but I haven't tried it yet. So far, I really like this palette - the shadows have a nice, smooth texture and they're nicely pigmented (except for maybe Sand Timer, but it...

Happy 2012

I'm such a contrarian for waiting until January 2ND to post about the new year =P 2011 brought a lot of new experiences - new derby league, first time competing, first time at Rollercon (oh, you can BET there'll be more trips to Vegas!), etc, etc. I'm hoping to carry that on for the next year. My primary goal is (of course) to finish my 30 Before 30 list. No easy feat, considering how I've only completed 13 as of this post (it'll be 14 after next weekend's photography class), and one of them is to complete a full marathon. But that's the biggest one - everything else is smaller (except maybe for the steeking one, since I'm nowhere near being done with that sweater). I have an additional 5 started/planned (as in, a concrete beginning or deadline). And all the other things are small - they can be completed over a weekend if I would stop messing around and DO it. But that's the rub, isn't it? The list isn't just about what's on the lis...
